Due to my age, but still being eligible for automatic upgrades, they have an odd selection of cars that they end up giving me. This week in the totally reasonable for just one person category, was the Chevy Suburban.
Also, the amount of nannies on this thing is insane. Like I’m not going to complain about safety by any means, but this thing doesnt just warn you about lane drift and cars stopping in front of you, but actively monitors them. Like little green car if you between the lines, another one if you at a safe following distance, things like that.

Seat and steering wheel.
Like I’ll be backing into a spot and it’ll start flipping out that I’m getting close to a fence or something and its like “Yeah, this thing is huge, I need to get close to that fence”

The American Way is how to transport as much conditioned air as possible without tainting it with the CO2 of other humans.
Honorable mention: Pickups, which are like driving around towing a parachute.

My brother has crazy status and got one last time we all visited wine country. We used it transport 6 adults and a baby all weekend so it was actually needed. I took it out myself to find a running trail one morning. It was so huge. It really needs paddles so you can downshift while braking. There is just too much mass to slow down. I will say, on a damp northern CA morning, with traction control off, you can get the burb very sideways.

I’ve got the same in my 2015 ‘burb. I actually prefer that over the beeping in my wife’s Pathfinder. Even though I drive the ‘burb most days and am comfortable with the size, I feel like I really need it the day after I drive the 328.

Alamo tried to talk me into upgrading to a Durango from a “Accent or similar”. if I had 4 people rather than 3 I would have considered it. Ended up in a Soul and it was a bit more car than I needed.
